✒ Poem: Aftertime
The Sunlight’s dripping off the skyline
And floods the skyscrapers and streets.
Candyfloss clouds melt in this honey
And Life finally starts to bleed
And rushes through these lifeless veins,
Of stone and glass … and faster,
To celebrate this new homage.
The night has met its master.
The yesterday is falling, circling,
… Deeper into the fog of time.
Impatient for the things to come
Tomorrow yet a pantomime
And we will stand – and love … and fight
Reality’s acid Enzyme
And our Smiles will draw an endless
Picture through the Aftertime.
