  • Yields: 1 large bowl of doughnuts

Ingredients

Plain Version

250 g self-raising Flour

8 tbsp Sugar

1 free range Egg

150 ml (Rice or Soya) Milk

1 tsp Baking Soda

1 pinch Low-Sodium Salt

Cinnamon Version

2 tbsp ground Cinnamon

Directions

1Set your Chip Fryer to 190 degrees or use a bigger pot filled with sunflower Oil, brought to the boiling point.

2Mix the above mentioned ingredients together, add the flour and baking soda last. Make sure you have a sticky dough. Not too runny or too dry.

3Take a TeaSpoon full of dough and drop it unformed into the fryer/pot. (You may want to use a second spoon to get the dough off the first, without burning your hands on the maybe splashing oil.) This gives the Doughlings their unique form.

4Fry until golden brown, then roll them in Caster, Brown Sugar or Icing Sugar.
