Cook: 20 mins
Yields: 1 large bowl of doughnuts
250 gself-raising Flour
1 free range Egg
150 ml(Rice or Soya) Milk
1 tspBaking Soda
1 pinchLow-Sodium Salt
2 tbspground Cinnamon
1Set your Chip Fryer to 190 degrees or use a bigger pot filled with sunflower Oil, brought to the boiling point.
2Mix the above mentioned ingredients together, add the flour and baking soda last.
Make sure you have a sticky dough. Not too runny or too dry.
3Take a TeaSpoon full of dough and drop it unformed into the fryer/pot. (You may want to use a second spoon to get the dough off the first, without burning your hands on the maybe splashing oil.)
This gives the Doughlings their unique form.
4Fry until golden brown, then roll them in Caster, Brown Sugar or Icing Sugar.
5This is what they look like, if the dough is a little bit thinner...
6You can offer them to your guests with other sweet dips or fruits.
Enjoy warm or cold.
